We’re proudly one of the largest Ironworker Locals in North America, with nearly 3,500 members.
We are a mixed local and have incredible growth in Downtown Boston. Our members do all facets of the Ironworking trade, bridge, structural, ornamental, reinforcing, misc.-metals, and rigging.
Upcoming work includes a 60-storey tower, and various significant large projects. So apply now so when our employers need skilled Ironworkers, we will know how to contact you.
We train apprentices 2 evenings a week, with three block training sessions a year. We do one apprentice application process per year (mid January) and all applicants must come to the Hall to the apprenticeship school to perform the application process.
We welcome applications from men and women Ironworkers who are currently working in the open shop market.
We train our Ironworkers in the safest policies and procedures, and expect these rules to be followed at the all time on the job site.
